Lagos, Nigeria — Odurinde.com, a digital learning platform founded by UK-based sustainability advocate and educator Temi Odurinde, has announced the launch of a free 3-month beginner-friendly web development training designed to help aspiring tech professionals gain practical digital skills that meet global standards.

The training, which begins on November 3, 2025, and runs for three months, will be held 100% online, with evening classes from 7 PM to 8 PM (WAT), making it ideal for students, job seekers, and working professionals eager to transition into tech without disrupting their daily schedule.

While Odurinde.com is not affiliated with IBM, the course curriculum has been carefully aligned with IBM’s global web development learning structure, offering participants a foundational experience similar to world-class training standards.

Students will learn the building blocks of modern web development, including:

  • HTML (HyperText Markup Language) – the structure of every website.
  • CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) – for styling and layout.
  • JavaScript – for adding interactivity and functionality.

This training is about giving ordinary people, especially those with zero coding background,  a chance to learn globally relevant skills,” said Temi Odurinde, founder of Odurinde.com. “Our goal is to make high-quality tech education more accessible, starting right here in Africa.

The training is designed to be inclusive, beginner-friendly, and community-driven. Participants will learn through live online sessions, practical exercises, and group projects that culminate in a personal or portfolio website.

Those interested in joining the November 2025 batch can register through the official course page:
https://www.odurinde.com/introduction-to-web-development/

Registration remains open until October 31, 2025, or until all available slots are filled.

Participants who complete the course successfully will receive a Certificate of Completion from Odurinde.com, recognizing their commitment and newly acquired skills.

While this certificate stands on its own merit for entry-level web projects and freelancing, students who wish to continue and earn an official IBM Web Development Certificate will have the foundation to pursue it seamlessly.

Our approach is simple, train people well enough to compete globally,” Odurinde added. “Even if participants never go for the IBM credential, they’ll still be equipped with employable digital skills for today’s job market.

The training emphasizes hands-on learning, group projects, and community support, ensuring participants not only understand web development concepts but also build actual websites by the end of the program.

The 7 PM to 8 PM class schedule allows learners across Nigeria and beyond to join conveniently from home, using just a laptop and an internet connection. No prior coding experience is required.

As technology continues to shape economies worldwide, access to quality web development education remains one of the most effective ways to empower individuals and communities. Programmes like this help create pathways for economic participation, innovation, and long-term professional growth.
