Stirling Distillery have been celebrating getting recognition for their work lately. They’ve been awarded a coveted Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award which recognises businesses that earn constantly great tourist reviews, and have also been shortlisted at the Scottish Gin Awards in two orders.

To qualify for a Travellers’ Choice award, businesses must “ maintain an overall Tripadvisor bubble standing of at least four out of five, have entered a minimal number of reviews in the 12-month period that the data was analysed and been listed on Tripadvisor for at least one time”. The distillery has eaten over callers since May 2021 when itre-opened its doors following the most recent lockdown across Scotland. With a distillery stint, diurnal gin and whisky tastings, a daily gin academy and yearly live music nights – plus the distillery shop, there are always guests coming through the distillery doors.

Owner June McCann said “ It’s a real honour that so numerous of our guests have taken the time to write glowing reviews of their visit then, and testament to our awful staff who work hard to ensure guests enjoy their time at the distillery”. Sat in the shadow of Stirling Castle, numerous callers come to the distillery on their way down the castle gemstone.

The periodic Scottish Gin Awards are taking place in Glasgow on the 27th October and the distillery’s Battle Strength Gin which sits at 55 and their popular Tropical Triumph liqueur have both been shortlisted in the high strength and gin liqueur gin liqueur orders.

Inspired by the notorious battle of Stirling Bridge, Battle Strength Gin sits at 55 and carries a huge megahit of juniper and pepper. Sealed with a hand- dipped wax seal and carrying unique illustrations by Ritchie Collins, this bottle combines the flavour of Stirling Gin with the bloody history of the megacity. Tropical Triumph Liqueur is bottled at 25 ABV. Evocative of warm Caribbean breaths, mango and passionfruit lead on the palate with subtle hints of pineapple elevating citrus notes. The gooey agreeableness is balanced by herbal notes skimming through from the Stirling Gin base. The result is a fresh and gooey liqueur with a smooth and stimulating finish.

Follow the distillery’s social media channels as they validate the evening and share all the winners on the night. However, the distillery will be offering 10 off these products for the following week to celebrate!, If either of their gins win.
