Herefordshire based digital greeting platform, Hope Spring eCards, has announced the launch of its new Charity Christmas eCard App, a dedicated mobile application designed to make sending festive greetings easier, more sustainable, and more impactful. The app is to be made available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The standalone app expands on the success of the Hope Spring eCards platform, but focuses exclusively on Christmas-themed greetings. Users will find a wide collection of festive designs, including animated Christmas eCards, video greetings, faith-based messages, business-friendly cards, and culturally inspired styles. The app also allows users to personalise messages, send eCards via email or WhatsApp, and schedule greetings ahead of time.
According to Seun Olonade, platform manager of Hope Spring eCards, the new app was created in response to user feedback.
“Many of our supporters told us they wanted a simple, festive-only version of our eCard service,” Odurinde said. “This new Christmas app makes it easier to share joy during the season while helping us fund clean water projects across Africa.”
Joshua, one of the charity’s long-standing volunteers, added:
“This app captures the true spirit of digital giving. It’s fast, meaningful, and eco-friendly, and every Christmas eCard sent, supports life-changing clean water work. Knowing that your festive message can make such an impact is incredibly rewarding.”
The Charity Christmas eCard App is designed for anyone sending holiday greetings. Families can use it to reach relatives both near and far. Friends can quickly send personalised festive messages. Businesses will find it useful for professional Christmas greetings with a charitable angle. Faith communities can access religious Christmas blessings, and organisations trying to reduce their carbon footprint can easily switch from printed cards to environmentally friendly digital alternatives.
By introducing a dedicated Christmas app, Hope Spring continues to champion sustainable giving. Each year, millions of paper cards are printed, posted, and thrown away shortly after the holidays. Digital Christmas eCards offer a low-waste, low-carbon alternative that still carries personal meaning, while supporting the charity’s clean water mission.
“The goal is simple,” Ms Olonade added. “Help people send beautiful Christmas greetings, and help communities access clean water at the same time. The more eCards people send, the more lives we can touch.”
The new Charity Christmas eCard App is set for release in late 2025, with December updates planned to expand categories and introduce fresh festive designs throughout the season.
