De-labelled.co.uk launched their site in 2009 to bring inflation bursting prices in the fashion market, today that ethos lives on at the heart of what they do. They are still offering branded and top quality high street and designer fashion to the British public at prices that make it pointless to buy cheap, inferior garments. De-labelled is a clearance shop which carries garments of most British household names like Debenhams, Zara, M&S, Monsoon, Principles, Grenson shoes, Osh Kosh, River Island, Per Una, Planet etc at prices that you cannot get even in a rock bottom sale. We found brands that sell in the top stores like House of Fraser, John Lewis and Debenhams here and the stunning find was a Planet skirt that retailed for £95 in store, which sold for £15!

There is considerable amount of in store/in season overstock garments, to end of the line, off season stock. Making genuine top quality fashion more affordable, so that you could get something extra or have money in your pocket when you go out looking like a million dollars (as they say).

The De-labelled approach to pricing appear to be based on a fixed mark up on the cost of the garments, rather than aim for what a garment can fetch. This is the trick to customer retention, and we found doing business with De-labelled is more like relationship building: the store now relies more on repeat business and word of mouth than advertising.

The ethos of the company is to ensure that their customers consistently get’s the best value and this seems to work for them.

What you might consider a downside is that the store is not allowed to keep the label on the garment intact, so you may find the label is marked, cut or removed but you cannot be in any doubt of the quality of these garments. As a clearing house the label removal is part of their contract with brand owners to prevent the odd unscrupulous person from trying to get full refund in store. However if you are a confident person with good taste in fashion, like me, it should not matter if your label is marked or defaced. I just want to look good everytime I turn up. And if I can do that without breaking the bank, then give me more companies like De-labelled, for other things I use in my daily life.

A proud community of fashion conscious, discerning and bargain hunting people are following De-labelled and that army will deservingly swell even more in 2010. With the right business model, we think this is the best way to commit to customer service, not using some clever strap line or paying lip service to customers.
