Apple Debuts New iMac Lineup

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

- Redesigned and improved…

After many rumors and much postponing of the supposed date of arrival, the new redesigned iMac is here. It may not look much like the mocks that were floating around the Internet and it still has the ‘chin’ that was supposed to be gone, but it is definitely new.

While the new design of the iMac is different, it still has lots in common with the old one, probably because Apple still wants people to be able to instantly recognize an iMac when they see it. As rumored, the 17 inch model is gone, Apple only offering two sizes, 20- and 24-inch. Outside the box, the iMac is even better, with a new ultra-thin aluminum Apple Keyboard, built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing and iLife ‘08. Despite the screen size being upgraded, both the low and the mid-end models cost less than the previous same-sized counterparts.

LG ME550D Brings Affordable “Shine”

- LG shine in its cheaper form. Less money, less shine

There’s enough shine for everyone to go around. Some might not afford it, so LG brings their cheaper glow out on the market. LG ME550D is the solution for those who want to own an LG Shine phone but think the phone is way too pricey for their
pockets.

LG ME550D is highly similar to the KE500 phone model, with some subtle design changes. The phone has lost some of its glow with the price drop, but not completely and still manages to attract attention through its elegance and style.

This slider follows the same smooth lines of the Shine handset and also uses its highly reflective display, although this time it does not cover the entire front surface. Moreover, the main navigation buttons are normal looking and include the jogwheel that many other devices prefer to use.

Motorola has just released six new entry-level phone models in the W line of phones. The devices look highly similar, although some differences come to tell them apart.

Motorola will now bring the W206, W213, W156, W160, W175
and W18 phone models, all with a similar design and performances. The handsets come with the same basic design line, black color and easy to handle buttons. The round navigation button is one feature, which differs from one model to another, along with the way the device’s corners are rounded.

When it comes to performances, people should not expect too much from this type of devices. They are all entry-level devices meant to provide the most basic features for their users. Some of them are even monochrome, such as the W156 and W160, one thing which few mobile phones nowadays feature. (more…)

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

Samsung has just released one more display of elegance and high technological performances, or simply called, the U708 mobile phone model. The device features stylish lines and looks
prepared to impress.

Probably the most appealing feature about Samsung U708 is the handset’s design. It is elegant and looks like the most evolved high tech in its silvery case. The slider phone form that Samsung loves so much looks great on it and manages to show it as being compact. In fact, the device comes with only 12.1 mm in thickness, which makes it one of the slimmest slider phones available on the market at this time.
